THE COMPUTE TASKFORCE
What does your computer actually do?
EtherAIO Farm currently runs a CPU benchmark to test the connection between your dashboard and your own computers. Real AI workloads are not available in this version.
1. You choose to contribute
Register a computer, install the node software, and enable contribution yourself. New computers start paused. Only computers belonging to your account can claim your queued jobs.
2. Run a short benchmark
The dashboard queues an 8-second test at a target CPU duty cycle of 20%, capped by the node setting. It repeatedly calculates SHA-256 hashes. These are synthetic calculations, not cryptocurrency mining or AI model processing.
3. See reported results
The node reports completion and the dashboard records contribution units. These are prototype accounting units, not money, tokens, or verified earnings. The current system relies on results reported by the node.
Future work, not yet implemented: AI inference, document processing, model evaluation, and other approved business jobs need their own workload software and validation before this network can perform them.
